PSN President Selected To Speak In 2017 FIP Congress In South Korea

This is a good news. But drugs in Nigeria nowadays hardly work anymore. If they are imported, then my question is when will Nigeria start manufacturing their own drugs?

President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Ahmed Yakasai, has been selected to speak at this year’s International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in Seoul, South Korea on September 9, 2017.

The FIP Pharmacy World Congress Stakeholder Round-table will dwell on Digitalisation and Impact on Pharmacy.

It is a federation of 139 national organisations of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists dedicated to improving access to and value of appropriate use of medicines and contributing to changes in science, practice and health policies globally.

FIP represents over three million pharmacists worldwide and endeavors to advance the role of the pharmacist through partnerships as official Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) status with the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The event will bring together presidents and chief executive officers (CEOs) of national associations of pharmacists and FIP Council members.

The second roundtable will focus on women and responsible use of medicines, which will be moderated by Parisa Aslani, a professor of medicine use optimisation at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sydney, Australia, among others.
