Corruption: Six Loyalist Governors Picked To Visit Buhari In London While Wike, Fayose Were Dropped

Its obvious that the governors they picked are puppet governors won't tell Nigerians the true situation of things when they return. This is why governors like Fayose was dropped from the list of Nigerian governors to visit President Buhari in London.

Six governors are picked to travel to London to visit Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari who has been in the United Kingdom for over 70 days.

TORI News reported earlier on Tuesday that six Nigerian governors including governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are scheduled to leave Nigeria to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London.

It was gathered that the visit of the six governors to Buhari was being organised by the office of the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Munguno (rtd.).

While speaking at a media briefing in Abuja this afternoon, three presidential spokespersons, Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu and Laolu Akande, disclosed that the governors will soon depart to the United Kingdom.

Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, said the meeting will hold by 3pm on Wednesday, adding that Abdulaziz Yari, governor of Zamfara state, will lead the delegation.

Listed among the six governors are;

1. Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom)

2. Dave Umahi (Ebonyi)

3. Umar Ganduje (Kano)

4. Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo)

5. Kashim Shettima (Borno)

6. Samuel Ortom (Benue)

A governor, who is not among those travelling to see Buhari, said those chosen for the journey were picked outside what he described as the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

He added that he was surprised when he heard about the journey from one of his counterparts, stating that if the secretariat and the governors had been contacted, the governors would have picked at least one of the PDP governors that had been critical of the President.

He said, “Our colleagues are going to London to see the President. But I’m not happy that someone like the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, or his Rivers State counterpart, Mr. Nyesom Wike, is not on the delegation.

“Though there are PDP governors on the delegation, we know ourselves and also know those we know are truly part of the opposition and those close to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

“The governors had been directed to be at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, tomorrow (Tuesday). From there, they will fly to the United Kingdom.”
