Northern Group Insist on Restating the Arabic Sign in 100 Naira Note to Validate Islamization Agenda

Northern group has restated their commitment in getting the Arabic sign in the 100 Naira note addressed. In a way of advancing the Islamization agenda of the APC government, the group has condemned former president Jonathan for removing the Arabic sign on the 100 Naira note.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) in a statement have declared the N100 note introduced by President Goodluck Jonathan on 19th December, 2014, the worst Nigerian note in history.

In a statement prepared by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, he said that this is partly due to the removal of Arabic Ajami.

In showing their total commitment to the rejection of the former President as a Christian from Biafra land, Akintola rejected the N100 note saying it was hard to maintain and handle and that it tore easily and isn’t the nicest looking note.

In his statement, The administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan officially issued the N100 commemorative centenary banknote on 19th December, 2014. A major feature of that banknote was the removal of Arabic Ajami.

It was not the first time this would happen. Arabic inscriptions which have always been on Nigerian currency since independence were unceremoniously removed in 2005 from N5, N10, N20 and N50 denominations during the reign of Olusegun Obasanjo. The former presidents said it was removed to create cohesion among all the ethnic groups.

The group accused Obasonjo and Jonathan of working against Islam when they removed the Islamic signs from Naira.

However, it could be noted that while the Muslim group continued to use every slight opportunity to promote the Islamization agenda, Biafrans are focused on the total emancipation from the failed contraption called Nigeria through a referendum.
